If we tell you that the Springvale Snow Fest 2017 is back on Sunday 30 July from 12pm to 7pm. Its popularity has made it a must see attraction in the heart of Springvale in Buckingham Avenue. A lot of snow from Mt Buller (80 tons), many attractions and fun!
Springvale Snow Fest 2017 event is free to attend, rides will cost between $2 and $6 and payment is via tokens, so don't forget to buy them before queuing for the rides. Ride operators will not take any cash. Ticket booths are located at the intersection of Buckingham and Windsor avenues, and at the intersection of Buckingham and Balmoral avenues.
With +/- 40,000 people expected this year, lack of parking will be rife, so plan well. Road closures will take place in Windsor, Buckingham and Balmoral Avenues. Featuring some great family entertainment complete with snow falling across the event site, there'll be amusement rides and attractions, two dedicated snow play areas with real snow, ice sculpting, food and market stalls, cultural activities and spectacular fireworks for the finale at 6.50pm.
Enjoy the silent disco igloo, arts and craft workshop and even Burton Riglet kids snowboarding. Don't forget to keep an eye out for the roving performers as well. The Snow Angel and Polar Bear will appear between 12.15pm and 2.55pm; the Giant Penguin Puppets 12.30pm and 3.10pm and the Illuminated Frozen Queens 3pm to 6.30pm. Waiting in queues for snow play and rides won't be as boring either, with the roving magician, Uptown Brown musician and face stamper, popping up to surprise you.
